The New England Hunts’ Hound Races

Each year, hounds from many of the New England Hunts gather to contest one another’s hunting ability over a 2-3 mile line. Scents used by each hunt are combined to give every hound their best opportunity to hunt well, stay on the line, and be first to the finish.

We invite all to cheer on your favorite hounds, who you will be able to identify by their race markings, as they race for fastest hound, fastest bitch and fastest pack.

Then, enjoy a hot luncheon to celebrate the hounds, and share an end-of-the-season feast of good food and hunting stories with your fellow hunters.
